Unexpected Departures – Kamel Khati
“Unexpected departures”, images drawn in gray pencil or blood, painted in oil, on white paper or canvas. Or still animated images by images. The subjects stand out against a white background making a feeling of incompleteness. The suggested form coexists with raw support, without any decor, just an atmosphere. It is a question of collecting the echo of these places which inhabit us in a world where one occupies uninhabitable boxes, where the relation with the space is problematic, the link with the ground almost non-existent if not artificial and unstable. The observation is there: this silence of / to the place alone fills the space.
