The world according to Roger Ballen
Roger Ballen was born in New York in 1950 to a grown family. He arrived in South Africa in 1975 in the midst of apartheid. He returned to settle there permanently in the early 80s. His job as a geologist led him to the most remote areas of the country, where he met degenerate Afrikaners, forgotten by all. He realizes, there, his first square photographs, in black and white, amazing and raw, which will make him notice (to like or to hate).
